First things first... I'm
not really a "master" of puppies... In fact,
the only puppies I have trained are my own two dogs (in obedience, flyball, agility and frisbee). I'm actually more of a dog cheerleader than a dog master—I believe that dog/people training should be positive and fun.
However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to own this domain, since I also happen to be a Metallica fan who likes the
song "Master of Puppets". As far as I'm concerned, "masterofpuppies.com" is perfect for me.
I'm currently freelancing as a Web & Creative Designer and living in Madison, Wisconsin. I am looking for a full time, employee position as a Creative Designer (web, graphics or multimedia) primarily in the Midwest (Madison, Milwaukee or Chicago). I am willing to relocate for the right company/position.
My style of design is very user-friendly and usability-focused, as I am always designing with the audience(s) in mind. I do not intend on continuing to accept new freelance design projects when I start working full time, as I would rather focus my energy (career-wise) into the company where I am hired. I believe the work/life balance is very important and reflects in the work that a person does.
My experience includes web design, project management, email design , user interface design,
analytics, multimedia, web-based training, usability testing, and instructing the "Introduction to Web Design" course for 4 semesters at UW-Milwaukee. Want more details? Find out more about my work experience and/or related experience, as well as my nun chuck skills (graphic, above). View my resume (pdf) for additional details about my experience and qualifications.
My portfolio includes a sampling of projects I have worked on (concepting, designing, developing, maintaining, etc.), both corporate and freelance. On Page 1, you'll find work samples for the larger, more recent projects that I have worked on, whereas on Page 2, you'll find print design, freelance projects, company identity, logo design and other miscellaneous work examples.
Please email me if you have questions or you would like to set up an interview. Also, be sure to look me up on LinkedIn to view recommendations from colleagues that are posted on my profile.
Thanks!
